Fort Stevens State Park( aka Area B in Warrenton, OR) turned out soarable for two hangs (Gabe & I ) plus three Paras from 1- 5pm today. The sand dunes were miles long and approximately 10ft in height. The winds were blowing pretty much straight up between 10-15mph when I ready to launch at 2pm and it turned slightly south around 4pm. My altitude was between 30- 80ft MSL. We soared the entire dune for 3 hours and made it all the way up north to the edge of Oregon State. Wind died down slowly and turned too cross from North after 5pm. It was such a fun dune soaring day for all of us as you can view from the raw videos and pics.
My first tandem flight in 1988 was on a mountain in Southern Calif called Kagel. I started flying hang glider solo in 1990. Since then hang gliding has been my primary interest.
