Flying sites in Pacific NorthWest:
Where to learn Hang Gliding in Pacific Northwest:
Video
Ray and I expected a strong west winds yesterday but it turned out extremely weak. The winds got weaker when we ready to launched but we still managed to top out few hundred feet above launch. It was fun cruising 1.5 hours on the north side of Oceanside in perfectly smooth air.
Two
hangs and two bags had a soaring flights today. PGs Mike Canifax and
Eric Bloch Miller launched before Ray Berger and me around 1 & 2pm
when it was blowing straight up in 3-8 mph. They landed already when
Ray and I ready to launched at 2:45pm. At that time, It was turning
even lighter and more cross from the right (north side). Ray and I made
an almost no winds launch and we were able to maintain few hundred feet
above launch on the north side. Ray went to Cape Meares and got up to
1,000ft and flew for over an hour. I flew for 1.5 hrs mostly on the
north side and maximum altitude was 900ft (300ft above launch).
