Where to learn Hang Gliding in Pacific Northwest:
 Bingen hike and fly report:
Just two hang gliders Tim Bugge. and I, along with approx 8-10 PGs who showed up at Bingen today. Thanks to Tim wife Judy driving for us. The conditions were very light and almost zero winds at launch all afternoon. A few PGs who'd launched earlier was seen scratching up slowly from the East side lower ridge , few were able to climb up to 600-2,000ft above launch flew to the west side hospital ridge and go XC while Tim and I were continue hang waiting at launch. It remained either too light or no wind, so we decided to wait. After hours of waiting, I decided to launch at 4:45pm in 0-2 mph light breezy. Was hoping to hook up with some good thermals, otherwise an expected sledder. Well, turns out we climbed up slowly with some consistent thermals on the east side. Tim and l got lucky and ended up soaring for over an hour maintaining between 2,300 to 2,600 ft along the ridge with a few PGs. We landed an hour later around 6:15pm and the wind direction was coming from North & NW (extremely cross), something I've never seen before at Bingen LZ, so landing was quite interesting. Will post video later. Overall, a great day flying with Tim and the PG gangs.
