It was REALLY light at Cliffside today. The West winds were still blowing about 5-10mph at the hang launch when we arrived at 11:30am. It turned ESE around 2:00pm and more East around 3:30pm. Five hangs (Neil, Gabe, Mark R, Enrique and myself) launch around 4:00pm at the Paraglider launch and it was pretty easy to climbed above launch. I was lucky that hooked up with few small thermals that extended my flight to about 40 mins and got 1200 AGL few times. The LZ by the river also very calmed , it was pretty much zero wind at the LZ.

We had a beautiful day at Cliffside today. 3 hangs (Gabe,Mark Rabe and myself) and a lot of paragliders. Everyone had a great effortlessly flight cruising around till sunset. A few PGs made it above the wind mills and I think some got 4k earlier. My max attitude was 1,600 ft AGL. I had over 2 hrs of air time landed around 7:00pm on my second flight.

Oceanside was awesome yesterday (Sunday). Seven hangs flew (Steve Forslund, Ray B, Rob Stephens, Gabe, Jeff H, Jonathon and myself). The winds were a bit strong and too south at launch most of the time but once we punched off it was just effortlessly elevator up to 1000ft above launch in the smooth coastal air. I think we all got more than 2 hours air time. There were a lot of cloud forming and we had a great session of cloud surfing.

The conditions was really weak at Dog today. I had two flights. It was almost no wind at launch with 90% overcast sky it results there were a lot of short flights. I was very lucky on my first flight that I did a few low save at 500ft AGL and got back up to launch, caught a few strong good thermals over the north side after scratching below launch for a long time.

1st flight :
I launched at 12:45pm and had almost 3 hours of really fun air time. Topped out 2k above launch and made few trips to Elk , radio towers and Hwy 12.

2nd flight:
I've run out of patience after more than an hour of waiting at launch. So launched at 5:45pm and it turned out to be a sledder as I expected. Others who launch after 6:30pm was able to stayed up and flew till sunset. Larry and Marty went pass Elk and got really high.

It was a very ice day of flying at Dog. When the north wind arrived it provided a lot of good flying for everyone.

I flew for 3 hrs on the 1st flight with 6 hangs and than another 2 hrs in the evening with Peter. It was honking 25+mph gusty wind at launch all evening till sunset, I landed at 9:15pm on the 2nd flight.

Dog Mt worked well all day. I had 3 soaring flights yesterday. Last flight was the best. I got some great glass off session with Mike , Andrey and Gabe last night. I launched at 7:15pm. The northish wind , super buoyant air and plenty thermals above the lake allowed us to have more than two hours air times.  Mike and I landed around 9:30pm. 

2 flights 2.5 hrs/ Weekend flights report Jun 28, 2015

Had some great flights at Glenoma, WA Dog Mt yesterday. (One sled ride /two soarable flights/ total of 2.5 hrs air time).

I arrived at Morton around 9:30am and found the skies overcast with the wind already honking some nice cool temperature. Headed up to launch, I was hoping to get some AM soaring flight with Stas and Shah around 11:00am, however the stormy conditions completely shut down when we arrived launch. Then it turned into being VERY hot and muggy weather with zero wind. I hiked up to launch and still didn't see any improvement, so we took a smooth sled ride down at 1:00pm. Alfredo and Mark Rabe also took a sledders around 2:00pm. Then we took turns to mow Dog Patch (as you can see from photos/ video that our primary landing field is 100% back now). Due to the heat wave, humidity, and zero wind conditions, no one seemed to be in the mood to fly except Mark Rabe and myself. As we headed up to launch for another sled ride, the wind finally arrived producing unlimited soaring condition for us all till sunset..... Shah came up again to join us and three of us had great soaring flights. After 1.5 hrs of air time (topped 600 ft above launch) and being able to cross the lake a few times in a strong head wind, I was pretty satisfied with the outcome of my day. I landed at 6 pm and packed up my gear setting to go home, when approached by Mark about doing another flight. It was hard to resist since we had a driver and the wind was lighter ....so I flew another 45 mins with Mark to end the day.
