Report from Ray :
Great day for Cape Lookout today. Launched shortly before noon, set up rigid wing as Rick was launching. 2 hours 48 minutes and a little over 2500. One time going from west point all the way to north point, only lost 2-300 ft. Rick landed after 1 hour 15 and relaunched later with Craig DeMont. There was still beach at high tide when they landed and I gave Craig a ride up to car. John Kraske(hang glider setup hog) and students, Travis, Mike Canifax, and other paragliders flew all day too and still going when I left. Wind was 340- O ° all day up to 20 mph at altitude and down to 12-14 most of day. It was cold so maybe north wind isn't as bad as when it is warmer. Lots of clouds earlier as my camera battery ran out after first hour. Cleared up and bluer as day moved on. First time at CLO this year, that's unusual. Usually fly half a dozen times by now.
