I had two flights on Thursday with Travis and two flights on Friday with
Kim (PG), Alan, Jonathon S, Travis, Sunny Jim and two Utah visitor
pilots Sam and Vickie Cox. The conditions on Thursday was windy &
overcast with abundance of smooth lifts. A lot of clouds surfing
over the back bowl with Travis on the 1st flight. I made it to Elk on
the first flight but it wasn't
good there. Travis and I revisited Elk on the 2nd flight and it was
on.
Thursday
was sunny earlier and the winds got much stronger in the afternoon. The
skies was a little bit over developed. Crossing the lake to Elk was a
bit challenging due to the strong headwind. The thermals was very punchy
over Elk and it goes up to 3600ft.
1st flight 1.5 hrs , launched around 2PM
2nd flight 1.5 hrs , launched around 6PM
