8/28/18 Tuesday
It was pretty much dead calm at the lake today, so we were kind of worried that it wouldn't be soarable. We arrived launch around 2pm and it was blowing  approx 5-8mph, similar to yesterday's conditions  without any high clouds forming above launch and Cliff walls.  It was a quite challenging to get above the 1st walls due to the weak thermals and not much ridge lifts.  The 5 of us (Travis, Robin, Stas, Alfredo and myself) had soarable flights with a bit of work put in to staying elevated.   My maximum altitude was 6,800 ft MSL (little better than yesterday)  at the second Cliff wall with Alfredo, Robin and Stas. Robin left the 2nd wall at 6,000 ft to further north next highest mountain Alta and got up to 7,000 ft.  I flew for over 2 hours today and everyone had a 1 step smooth landing on the carrier deck. There were some rowdy roto on the final when I landed at 6pm but overall it was very smooth.

Some of us will either head home or go to Dog for the next couple of days, as Rampart appears to be too windy tomorrow (Wednesday) and rain forecast on Thursday. A few of us are contemplating on returning to Rampart on Friday through weekend. We'll probably come to a final decision by Thursday night or Friday morning.

Rampart (Snoqualmie Pass, WA) was awesome today. Travis, Luis , Alfredo , Ron , Tim  and myself all launched around 3pm.   Alfredo was the first one make it to the first wall.   Tim and l got up to 6,800ft (2,500ft above launch) at the 2nd Wall later. We flew for over two hours.   Smooth air at the LZ. Luis will post some landing on his Facebook later.
