Flying above the clouds in hang gliding at Cape Lookout, Oregon coast  (May 21st,2018)

Clouds surfing is convey joy, happiness, and energy.  I don’t think words could ever really explain the sensation.

Three days hang gliding report at Cape Lookout  (May 19 to 21,2018)

Saturday report:   Not that many pilots out for the day. Approx 5-6 pgs and 3 hangs (Travis, Robin and myself) that got some very nice flights.  Conditions were very light all day. I flew for 2.5  hours, launched at 3:15pm into very smooth ridge lift. Crossed the gap in 450ft and climbed up to 1,300ft. The air was buoyant right till the end of the day. Hang pilot Robin launched at 7pm and flew with two pgs (Ben &  J Kraske) till sunset. He landed around 8:15pm.

Flew for over an hour. 2nd flight I flew for 2.5 hrs

Travis, Robin, Stas, Lennard,
Oregon :
Kory, Craig, Greg, Ray , Neil and myself

Monday * EPIC* report:
Today I launched at 1pm on my second flight and flew for 4 hrs & 15 mins with 4 hangs:  Stas, Robin, Travis , Jeff H, and PG John Kraske.  It was epic due to the long hours flight.  Robin launched after me and stayed up for 3.5 hrs too. We were able to climbed above the cloud ceiling and made many trips between the end of the cape to North Point. Maximum altitude was 2100 ft.

Stas, Travis, Robin and myself went back up to launch around 6:30 pm to do a sunset flight, but decided to pass when we noticed Robin sinking out quickly.
