10/10 Wednesday at Dog Mt.
Today at Dog, 4 hangs (Alan, Robin, Tim Cayward and myself) showed up and experienced smooth soaring flights. I punched off at 3:15 pm after Alan Redmon and Robin Briejer and flew for 2 hrs + 20 mins, reaching Elk twice but it wasn't good there. I was also able to get to 900 ft above launch over the back bowl. Before coming to landing, I caught sight of a beautiful rainbow (pics enclosed). Drove back to Portland at night.

10/11 Thursday at Rampart
I saw Tina message going to Rampart in the morning. I left Portland at 8:30AM and made it to Rampart LZ at 1:00PM
Rampart was awesome today. Smooth lifts everywhere from launch to Alta. I launched at 3pm and flew for almost two hrs with Larry, Tina, Robin, Jim and Jevon . Got up to 6,500ft at Alta with Larry and Robin.

10/12 Friday at Rampart
Rampart was fantastic today too with much stronger winds and thermals. In the morning it was already blowing 10-15 mph NW at the lakebed. Three rigs headed up between 12:15 to 1 pm with 9 pilots (Darren F, Glenn DuvalJimmy D. Culler Tim CaywardRobin BriejerLuis RamosAlfredo Moreno , Ron Barbera and myself) to launch.
Launch conditions were much stronger and gustier than yesterday (15-20 mph). Everyone punched off and climbed straight up to 1K+ft above launch immediately and headed north to the walls. Plenty of beautiful clouds formed over both walls around 6-7K ft and it was easy to get above the clouds. I hit 7,300 ft over the first wall and started flying backwards. Great clouds lifts, but not the best conditions for distance due to strong west head winds. Robin reported over the radio of roller coaster turbulence and was butt kicked over at Alta Mt. I had 1.5 hours of intense flight and had enough for the day.
Heading back to Portland now, hope someone will fill in more on the details of today's interesting flights.
