1.5 hrs 2 flights at Cliffside 3K launch 1/5/2019

First flight of 2019 at Cliffside.

Maybe 1 or 2 PGs and HG pilots: Mark Rabe Neil and myself all taking sledders in the morning. It was extremely light wind, so Mark and l decided to drive up to the 3K top ridge for our second flight. Other hangs didn't show up after we done packing up plus Neil had to leave early so he couldn't join us. It was blowing much better at the 3K launch (15+ mph ESE and more straight east direction further east). Mark had launched minutes before me at 2 pm and got a bit above launch immediately, he left the lift band quickly while heading to the river. There were plenty of consistent ridge lifts to easily maintain as long as l stayed close to the ridge. I cruised above the radio towers and in front of the wind turbine for over an hour and conditions were top landable, but I was too chicken to make it. I maxed out at 3,800 ft MSL and flew for 1.5 hours. The winds at the regular launch below remained with calm winds (1-3 mph) until sunset, so I didn't see anyone else flying.
