1.5 hours flight at Peterson's Butte 2/16/18

Congrats to Tim Cayward's on his first flight at Peterson Butte.  It was just the two of us (hang gliders) today without RCers or Paragliders. We arrived launch around 11, with winds already coming in strong at 15-25 mph straight in. Tim launched first around noon on his single surface Falcon 2, while I followed from right behind. We both got up to about 2,000 ft AGL over the towers and cloud base was between 1,800-2,000ft AGL. The lifts were strong due to high winds, which made Tim a bit concern not being able to penetrate through the strong gust, so landed after an hour later.  I flew for another 30 mins and ended with an 1.5 hr flight. It got very windy at the LZ too when we landed, which felt like 20+ mph and a light sprinkle of rain started after we got done packing around 3 pm. Overall, it was great!
