Short report:
Snowy flight report / video /photos from today at Chehalem ridge (Newberg, OR)
A lot of snow at launch. I got an hour flight from  1 to 2pm. Approx 8-10mph winds at launch and 0-3 mph at the LZs..  Highest altitude 400 ft above launch but mostly 200 to 300ft above launch.

Detail report:
Chehalem ridge (Newberg, OR) was very good to me today.  I'd stopped by the LZ (Johnson farm) at 11 to leave my bike for retrieve later.  It was dead calm at the LZ with very light winds at launch. There was plenty of fresh snow on top especially where we usually park, about a foot of it which included the setup area for the hangs.  I had to do some snow shoveling for a parking spot and the wind started blowing a bit stronger while I was setting up.  Treetops were swaying but still on the light side.  I punched off at 1pm and it took more steps than anticipated to get airborned. The ridge was working but could only climb a few hundred feet above launch.  It was easy to maintain 200 to 300 feet above.  I had my GoPro mounted on the side of the wing and I want to capture my landing from that angle before the battery ran out so I headed out to the LZ after 50 minutes later.   Dave called me on the radio offer to give me a ride up.  Light snow just started to fall a few minutes after I  got done packing around 3pm.  Thanks again to Dave Blizzard  for the ride up and posting on CPC gmail group, which made my day so much easier.
