Conditions at Rampart today weren't so good from the time of our arrival (@11:30am) to LZ, till our launching. The cloud ceiling was low, launch socked in, there were a few sprinkles and light breeze at launch. Also, the road to launch was blocked by a couple of large boulders (see pics) , which we'd thought would block us from getting through. Fortunately, we were able to move it away and make it to launch. 7 hangs (Cliff, Alfredo Moreno, Ron Barbera Stephan Boutenko, Glenn Duval, Shawn Lucke and myself) flew and our flights turned out Epic. l got over 2 hrs flight surfing the clouds in butter smooth conditions, with lift bands all over along the edge of the clouds base. Alfredo, Ron, Cliff and l were cruising around between the first and second wall at 5,000 to 6,500 ft (1,000 to 2,500ft above launch). Alfredo and l got up to 7,700 ft towards the end of our flight. We were nervous being surrounded by so many clouds that I've decided to fly down to the lake to burn off some altitudes. Landing conditions were smooth, with no rotors. Turned out being a spectacular day at Rampart. Thanks again to Stas, Vincent and Glenn friend who drove for us.
