3 hrs Dog 10/6/17

Video

Almost 3 hrs from 2 to 5PM Six of us (Alfredo, Andrey, Larry, Tim C, Stasz and myself) had a great flight at Dog Mountain today. Everyone staying up as long as desired. I managed to stay up for almost 3 hours. The winds were light when we arrived at 1:00pm and it got stronger when I ready to launch at 2:00pm. The gusty NW cross wind made launching quite difficult. I launched first and felt huge amount of sinky rotors air immediately from the right side. In the air, it feel like blowing 20 mph from NW. Tim and Larry instruments says 18-24mph out of NW. The higher altitude topped out at about 2,000ft over launch (4,200 ft MSL) after 4PM. Larry got few hundred ft higher than every one else. Elk was working too. Great day for hang gliding.
