2 hours flight at Oceanside 3/18/18

 Video Coming soon

Hang pilot, Scott Rutledge from Seattle had some great flight yesterday (Saturday) at Oceanside with a big group of PGs in light WNW winds, much different conditions from today (SSW 10-15+mph ) and continue to get a great flight today. He'll be at the Oregon Coast for the week and looks like he'll get some awesome Cape Lookout flights tomorrow and Tuesday. Tomorrow high tide at 3pm but it's only 4ft small waves so it might have enough beach for landing during high tide. If is not, fly between 4 to Sunset. I'll post in the morning if I can go again tomorrow.
About today, 6 of us flew (PG: JJ, John Kraske, David SP & HGs: Bob, Scott and myself ). Since there was plenty of beach for landing, Bob and I launched at 2 (high tide at 230) right after PG JJ and we flew for two hours, while Scott launched at around 2:45 and also got over an hour. Back bowl thermals were very rough today but it was fun. Scott was above me most of the time over the back bowl on his Freedom 190 , the rowdy thermals took us to 1,500 ft. I did the usual pattern going down to Happy Camp few times and cruised around over the town homes. Overall, today was another awesome day at Oceanside!
